How to prepare Chickpeas on Mediterranean way with Cherry Tomatoes

The origin of the chickpea, although still much discussed, is located in the Mediterranean area.

However, its consumption has become very popular in recent years. In fact, today chickpeas are used in a large number of recipes; becoming the most consumed legume around the world.

As a legume, chickpeas are considered both a vegetable and protein food, helping you hit two important food groups at once.

For this occasion we will present recipe, for preparation chickpeas on Mediterranean way with cherry tomatoes.

Necessary ingredients:

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoons aceto balsamico

30 g of onions

1 clove garlic

125 g cherry tomatoes

240 g chickpeas from a can (previously washed and squeezed)

1 tablespoons spice herbs or freshly chopped parsley,

and Himalayan salt according to your taste

Method of preparation

On medium heated oil, fry chopped onions and add crushed garlic. Then add cherry tomatoes and together fry, until softened.

Then add chickpeas, himalayan salt, spice herbs and aceto balsamico.

Cook all together for 5-10 minutes, and for the end add chopped fresh parsley. It is served as an add to another meal or how main dish.
